Real Madrid produced a stunning comeback against Manchester City on Wednesday night, knocking the English champions out of the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals with a 4-3 aggregate victory.
Madrid, who lost the first leg 2-1 at home, fell behind again in the second leg when Riyad Mahrez converted a penalty for City in the 73rd minute.
However, Karim Benzema equalized for Madrid just five minutes later, and Vinícius Júnior gave the Spanish giants the lead in the 86th minute.
Benzema then completed his brace in the 90th minute to seal the victory for Madrid and send them into the semifinals.
The result is a major disappointment for City, who were heavily favored to advance to the final four.
Madrid, meanwhile, will be hoping to continue their impressive form in the competition as they look to win their 14th Champions League title.
